Welcome to Domodex!
We created this tool to make the choice of your new home easier. Many of us who have gone through the process of moving to a new place know how frustrating it can be when you have so many options to choose from and you don't have a clear system for ranking them. There are some factors that are more important than others, and quite often they are not part of the standard description.
This website was created with that problem in mind, and here are the main advantages of using it:

To start using our website, you can either register by providing your name, email address, and a password, or you can sign up using your Google account. If you choose the latter option, you won't need to create a password or wait for a confirmation email.
Once you have signed up, you are ready to start using the website.
We recommend using a PC or laptop to access this website, as the main feature is a table, which is easier to read on a larger screen. However, all the features are also available on mobile devices and tablets, and we are constantly working to improve the usability of the website on smaller screens.

Once you are registered and have some properties you want to add, you are ready to use Domodex.
As mentioned previously, adding a new property to the list is easy and takes just a few seconds. Simply click 'Add new property', then 'Add from URL', paste in the link, and click 'Grab property details'. The option to add properties manually is not currently available, but we are working on it.
The property will appear in the table, unless there are issues with it (in which case you will receive a notification). Most of the information will be available to view immediately, but a few more steps may be required to see a full view of the property.
Some data points will only be available once you add the address and postal code. We understand that this information is not always included in the ad, but certain data points such as the square footage of the property, energy cost, or council tax rate are dependent on the exact address.
'Distances' is a group of data points that will require your input, but once you set them up, they can be extremely useful. Each data point in this group is either the distance or time duration from the property to a specified location, such as your job or your children's school. We are preparing a step-by-step guide for this section, which will be available soon. You can currently add up to 5 specific locations, but we are working on the ability to add more in the future. Keep in mind that even if you already have some properties in your list, you can add new locations to them and the distances and durations will be added as well.
Clicking on your email address (at the top right corner if you are using a desktop, or after clicking if you are using a mobile device) will take you to your account page. From there, you can change your account details (name, email, or password).
That's the most important information about using Domodex. We have more on the way, but hopefully this was enough to convince you to sign up.
